The iPad Air M4, released in March 2026, features the new Apple M4 chip, offering a 20%-30% performance boost over the previous model. It also includes enhanced features like Genmoji, Writing Tools, and AI-enhanced Siri.
With a 50% increase in RAM from 8GB to 12GB, the iPad Air allows for smoother multitasking and better performance with AI applications. The device also introduces the N1 wireless chip, enabling Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support for faster networking speeds and improved power efficiency.
In terms of display and compatibility, the iPad Air retains its 11" Liquid Retina display with P3 Wide Color and True Tone, along with compatibility with Apple Pencil Pro, Apple Pencil (USB‑C), and the Magic Keyboard. The newer Magic Keyboard model is tailored specifically for the iPad Air.
